Thorogood's AMERICAN MADE boots are crafted by the company's dedicated and skilled craftsmen and women at their US plants. These boots are made with a combination of USA-sourced and globally-sourced components.

The boots feature a MAXWear Wedge slip-resistant outsole, made from durable polyurethane (PU) material. The DURABLE OIL-TANNED FULL-GRAIN LEATHER upper in a moc toe, non-safety toe design offers comfort and rugged durability for tough jobs. The available color options include tobacco brown (814-4200), Trail Crazyhorse brown (814-4203), black with ivory sole (814-6201), and black with black sole (814-6206).

The MAXWear Wedge outsole is designed to flex better than other work boot soles, absorbing impacts and protecting the feet and ankles while working on difficult surfaces. This outsole meets ASTM F3445-21 slip-resistance standards, keeping wearers stable on loose gravel, wet, and oily surfaces.

These boots also offer electrical hazard (EH) resistance, meeting ASTM F2892-18 safety standards. The REMOVABLE ULTIMATE SHOCK ABSORPTION FOOTBED uses dual-density polyurethane to absorb impacts and wick away moisture, providing exceptional comfort.

The boots are constructed using Goodyear Storm Welt, which provides superior wear resistance and a moisture-sealed bond between the upper and midsole, ensuring these men's boots are dependable and long-lasting.

Thorogood's history dates back to 1892, when Albert H. Weinbrenner, at just 27 years old, opened a cobblery in Milwaukee with his partner, Joseph Peffer. The company has since grown, becoming a major contributor of boots to the U.S. Army during both World Wars. In 1964, the company introduced the iconic Hike n' Camp boot, which remains a best-seller today.

Thorogood continues to innovate, with the introduction of the ThoroGard high-tech occupational safety footwear line in 1988 and the 1892 Heritage line of handcrafted lifestyle boots in 2014. In 2022, the company celebrated its 130th anniversary, marking the opening of a new factory in Merrill, Wisconsin, and the launch of its first western wear product, the Thorogood Square Toe Wellingtons.
